Monday

monday funday: peekaboo!

I have a new addiction brewing after stumbling across Trendy Crew last night [eek!], but what I really wanted to talk about is a new trend I've been eyeing. The beginning of summer is prompting lots of playful peekaboos. I see it as an evolution of the playful bare/not-bare sock/stocking trend:

It's actually something I started to think about a few weeks ago when I saw this photo on Chictopia:

And the evidence is quickly mounting...

I particularly like the mesh bottom of the skirt, or the long-sleeved T under a blazer--what a way to sneak in some almost-too-naughty-peeks at work!

bloglovin & featured post

So, I just signed up for Bloglovin [follow my blog with bloglovin!]... I didn't really know what it was at first, but it seems like a great way to discover lots of new blogs. Isn't it a little overwhelming how many are out there?? I always want to visit and read EVERYTHING, but even after I've spent hours strolling the 'net I know there's more awaiting..

My blog is just a baby, so I'm so delighted that my good friend Kelly [aka Kellyshoestrings] featured me on her latest blog feature here! She also has a great Etsy and Chictopia page. She's my internet/fashion/life muse. Haha.

Alright, I know I'm a little behind this week, so expect some posts coming up soon!

tuesday snoozeday: rethinking denim... & jay leno

Until now, jeggings and a tunic has been my denim-Friday uniform. While I love my jeggings, the swiftly rising temperature is making me feel a little jegging-ed out. These days, I'm finding myself drawn to acid washed denim shirts instead. Who would have thought? What's old is definitely new again! These feel so fresh, and fun, and scream SPRING when paired with flirty skirts or shorts.

On a side note: I know denim on denim is sort of a thing these days, but please. Just say no! I saw a guy on the street wearing a denim button up and jeans, and honestly, I don't see how that can work on anyone other than the coolest of cool. It always reminds me of Jay Leno.
